Presentation of Distinguished Service Award to
Amy Kernes

Good Evening:

I am Dave Worker, President-Elect of the Kiwanis Club of Brea, but most important, Rylan’s dad.

Kiwanis is a world-wild service organization with our motto, “Serving the Children of the World”. Specifically we build leaders to help kids and, as your Charter Organization, it is fitting that we present this award tonight.

Our Cal-Nev-Ha Foundation of Kiwanis International supports and recognizes superior leadership. Troop 801 is fortunate to have so many helping hands but some stand out among the many.

Mrs. Amy Kernes has consistently given her all to scouting since 1997. She as served as Cub Day Camp Coordinator, Assistant Cub Den Leader, Bear Den Leader, Webelos Den Leader, Brea Troop 801 Committee Member, Committee Chair and OA Youth Advisor. WOW. She has stood out because her service to Brea, Brea Kiwanis, and Troop 801 has been outstanding!

On behalf of the Kiwanis Club of Brea, I am proud to award Mrs. Amy Kernes the Kiwanis California-Nevada-Hawaii District Foundation, Distinguished Service Award for 2009.
