President Joe Salazar and
Secretary Dennis O'Hern Awarded at Division 30 Installation

At last weekends Division 30
Installation, our own Pres. Joe Salazar was awarded the
Sho Yamada Award. The awarded is presented to an
individual in the division who has demonstrated the high ideals of
past Division 30 Lt. Governor Sho Yamada.

Dennis O'Hern was
presented with the Cary Mayer Award. Awarded to the
club secretary who makes a significant contribution to Division 30
and exemplifies the high ideals and commitment to Kiwanis as did
Cary Mayer, past Division 30 Lt. Governor and past Club Secretary
of the La Mirada Kiwanis Club.
All Don Hull got was a
watch.

Paint Your Heart Out

The Paint prep phase was started Thursday afternoon at a Brea
home with Joe Salazar, Catherine Houston and Isabell
Choi washing down the house with a low pressure power
wash.
Early Saturday morning,
September 24, Paint prep work continued until approximately
3:30 PM. A limited number of Kiwanians volunteers
accompanied by 'Paint Your Heart Out' representatives and led
by Isabell Choi and supported by Dean Hall,
Allan Perry & children, Dennis O'Hern, Charlie Phillips
and a few others worked to prepare the house for painting.
House painting is scheduled for October 8.
