Dr.
Tom Green - Distinguished Service Award
The
Distinguished Service Award recognizes a Kiwanian for outstanding service
rendered to their Kiwanis Club and their community. The award is
presented by a Kiwanis district officer and this year, the award was
presented to Dr. Tom Green on November 2, 2002 by the Mark McDonald, Governor
of the California-Nevada-Hawaii District of Kiwanis International.

DR. TOM GREEN
WAS CHOSEN RECIPIENT OF THIS DISTINGUISHED SERVICE AWARD BECAUSE HE'S A MAJOR CONTRIBUTOR TO THE SUCCESS OF THE CLUB.
HE'S SERVED US IN MANY ROLES INCLUDING, PRESIDENT AND HAS BEEN A PRESIDENTIAL ADVISOR TO EVERY
PRESIDENT SINCE.
TOM TOOK A SPECIAL INTEREST IN THE HISTORY OF OUR CLUB AND ORGANIZED OUR 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION.
TO DO SO, HE VOLUNTEERED COUNTLESS HOURS IN RESEARCHING OUR PAST AND IN INTERVIEWING OLDER
MEMBERS. HE THEN DOCUMENTED IT FOR US TO ALL SHARE AND KEEP.
TOM REMAINS INVOLVED IN MANY COMMITTEES AND CONTINUES TO BRING NEW IDEAS AND SUGGESTIONS FOR SERVICE PROJECTS AND FELLOWSHIP ACTIVITIES.
TOM WAS KIWANIAN OF THE YEAR LAST YEAR 2001.
HE'S A GREAT SPORT AN ALL AROUND GOOD GUY. IT'S OUR PLEASURE TO PRESENT THIS AWARD TO HIM TODAY AND WE'RE HAPPY HIS WIFE STACEY IS HERE TO SHARE IN THIS MOMENT. |
