"One Can Make A Difference"

Beer & Wine Garden at the Brea Jazz Fest

Why don't these people ever work at these events?

By Dennis O'Hern

October 2 and 3 found the Club back in the Beer & Wine Garden at the Brea Jazz Fest. Friday night swayed to Derek Bordeaux on stage with his usual mass of followers who seem to have nearly perfected the art of revelry. Man! Can they enjoy themselves…much to the delight of Lynda & Wolf Arnold, Isabell Choi, Jacque & David Coley, Tom Green, VIC MUNOZ, Dennis O’Hern, Scott Schaffer, and Annetta Scott who pulled corks, uncapped bottles, spilled beer and wine, cracked ice, and dug for water bottles, all in attempts to keep the throng thoroughly and properly lubricated.

On Saturday night, Brian Bromberg performed for the first time at the Jazz Fest. Among the members on hand to staff the Garden were Henry Eager, Sam Graciano, Chris & Dean Hall, Danny Hernandez, Chuck Lee, and Shelly & Dave Worker with new Kiwanis friends Renee & Mark Lewis.  Don Hull made a cameo appearance.

The tally of earned income for both nights should be available in the next few days. Thanks to all who contributed their time and toil.
