Essay Contest

Thanks to Dr Henry Cardenas for chairing this annual event.  The 1st, 2nd, and two 3rd place students were hosted for breakfast along with their teachers, family and principals.  As part of this annual rite of passage, Team Kiwanis was chosen by Dr. Henry to defend the honor of Kiwanis in a Spelling Bee with the students.  One by one the Kiwanians fell.  Out last and best hope was Dennis O'Hern but he to succumbed to the Dr. Henry's barrage of words. 

Congratulations to the students who will be receiving plaques and cash awards.
